I am showing off some fun photos from a maternity photo session in the city last night. Mommy is expecting #2 very soon and Mr. C is very excited to be a big brother. I believe he said he is hoping for a sister but it’s a surprise for now. I’m sure he will be a very good big brother. =) I have so many favorites from this session I had a hard time picking just a few for the sneak peek. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Gorgeous, right?

Mr. C. liked to strike many poses. Seriously I haven’t met many 2-somethings who like to pose and show off in front of my camera as this guy did.

The other member of the family, Franklin. Mr. C. lovingly called him his best friend. He was also a camera hog. haha! I had to show him, too.

I can’t believe it will be August in a couple of days. This summer has flown by too quickly. I’m enjoying every moment of it but can not believe it’s time to start thinking about back-to-school supplies, end of the summer get-aways and the upcoming Fall Photo sessions. However it IS time.

The next couple of weeks are going to be hectic with newborns. You will be surprised with the amount of newborns that are going to be making their debut on the blog in the month of August. We have 6 on the calendar to date starting this weekend. Oh my! It’s sweet baby time!

I’m also booking for Fall Photo Sessions. It is NOT too early to book your Holiday session with Beautiful Babies and More. Clients from previous years know to book early to get the dates they want and are already contacting me so if you are interested please contact me soon. I will be posting Holiday cut-off dates in the next week or so along with a preview of our 2009 Holiday Card Collection. Please check back for updates and contact us for questions on scheduling.

Of course I can’t post without some photos to share. So here’s my older guy showing off his Razor scooter skills.

Time flies. My nephew just turned 4 months. I can’t believe how quickly the first year goes by, I swear it was just yesterday he was born. Well we spent a weekend at my sister’s house recently and you know I had the camera out. Auntie Chelle (that’s what we are calling me, right?) loves to photograph those sweet, little cheeks! Let me share the cuteness that is my nephew… (I’m know I am biased.)

I hope my sister doesn’t kill me for posting this photo but I adore my nephews face. “Seriously? Another photo from this lady?” teehee

My boys are totally in love with their cousin. However he looks a bit scared, no?

Remember this beautiful lady? Well she is a big sister. Congrats to the M family. I got to meet the new Mr. L. on Friday morning and what a handsome guy! I know I say this all the time but I do love my job. Mr. L. was so sweet and eventually super sleepy. Big sister is probably the sweetest little client I’ve ever photographed. She just wanted to give me hugs and sit on my lap. I even let her take some photos with my camera. I think she would have let me take her home with me and I know my boys would love a baby sister but of course I think her Mommy might miss her.

I adore the M. family and wish them best of luck in their move! … and here’s your sneak peek!

We welcome Mr. M. to the Beautiful Babies and More Blog.  His big brother and big sister have been featured several times now and they were so pleased to share their new little brother with me.  Actually big sister seemed a little put off she wasn’t the star of the show and kept asking “when will you take my picture?” haha.  Adorable!  Of course when it was time to take the dreaded sibling shot these siblings couldn’t be more happy to ooh and ahh over new baby M.  So sweet and loving!  It’s been a joy photographing the D. Family over the last few years.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek of Mr. M and family on his one week birthday.

What a better way to celebrate the 4th of July than with a new baby?

I feel like I’m constantly talking about weather on my blog. I swear I’m not Al Roker disguised as a photographer but weather does impact my business often. I love living where the weather changes so much even if it does inconvenience me at times and I subsequently complain. The changing of seasons and weather often recall memories to me. Does this happen to everyone? In the fall when the weather is cooling down and a school bus drives by I feel transported back to high school with football games and band competitions. (yes i’m a proud band geek.) Finally on Thursday I got into my car after a long hot day at the pool and the summer heat of the car made me instantly think of one of my favorite CD’s, XTC’s Skylarking. Takes me back to driving around in the summer with friends in a non air conditioned car singing along to my Skylarking tape. (tapes are those things… oh well i can’t explain it.=) Summer’s Cauldron is one of my favorites from that album, listening to it now on Itunes, my how things have changed. Anyway, that was all my way of saying I’m so glad it’s officially summer, I love the warm weather, the storms and the beautiful summer evening light.

Okay, sorry for the off topic rambling. Sharing a sneak peek of the C. family on the blog today. Great session last week in the evening down in the Historic District around Independence Hall. Dad is a Park Ranger so in addition to just having a nice time strolling around he also shared many facts about the history of the area. (We also got to sneak into the closed off area so I didn’t have to fight off tourists.) Helpful having someone in the know as your client, right? I enjoyed getting to know your family even better. Check out these sweet sisters, they had so many ideas for me and even directed part of the session – fun!
