Lucky Day.

June 28, 2009

They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck, right? Well this couple will have a long, lucky life for sure, as we photographed this wedding last Saturday June 20th and if you remember it was an extremely rainy day. Mr. + Mrs. were absolutely beaming with happiness and did not let the weather bother their happy day. The wedding was held at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine Church and the reception at Rockwood Museum, a perfect setting. I second shot for my talented friend, Beth again and I just want to share a few of my favorites from the day.

The new Mr. + Mrs. were great dancers and watching their first dance was fun!

I loved their cake topper. The bride had such a classic look and so did her cake counterpart. =)

A bag piper came at the end to pipe the guests out and to celebrate the couple’s honeymoon off to Ireland. Such a neat ending to a lovely day.

Have I mentioned that I love to see my littlest clients grow up? I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. R. today whom I’ve haven’t photographed since his newborn photos and he is now over 2 years old and is about to be a big brother. So glad to see him and Mom again today! Well it was a maternity session for Mom gifted to her by a friend however Mr. R. was probably the star of the show and stole the spotlight for sure. =) It was great fun hanging out and I can’t wait to meet the newest member of their family in a few weeks.

Gorgeous!

I had to share these, Miss Lola the Pug is another star. She first made an appearance in the family’s maternity photos. She’s a sweetie.

Mr. R. might be some competition for me in the future. He sure loved that camera and really wanted to take the lead.

As a Mom of two energetic boys I know that if there is a mud puddle to be found — it will be. Don’t you love this guilty look? (even though the photographer lady told him to jump in =)

This sweet little 2 year old reminded me of  “Boo” from Monsters Inc. Too cute right? Actually “Boo” or Miss M. was one of the contest winners from last month. I was so pleased to meet her and her Mom at Gibraltar Gardens in Wilmington, Delaware. Even though it rained a crazy amount the night before and was a wee bit humid, the Gardens at Gibraltar were still a gorgeous spot for Miss M. to play with and show off her cute smiles to me.

I had the pleasure of meeting the W. family yesterday in Washington Square Park.  This is one of my favorite spots in the city for photos. Little Miss S. was adorable (of course!) she just enjoyed herself checking out the sites and exploring her surroundings. In typical toddler style we were on the move A LOT!

She gave a little cute ‘tude in the beginning… and then she was off…

Saturday was a happy and a beautiful day for the new Mr. and Mrs. V.   It was a fun wedding especially shooting for my uber-talented friend, Beth..  Gorgeous weather, awesome location and a great group of party people.  Well I feel the need to share some of my favorite photos from the day.

Bridal details, which I don’t normally get to take since I usually hang with the groom.

I probably should have titled this blog post – busy.   This little 6 month old lovely was very busy.  Busy crawling, busy trying to eat grass, busy trying to grab her doggie — just super busy (and totally cute!)  It’s always hard to just pick a few favorites to show on the blog, some sessions are harder than others, this one was hard to chose but I do not want to show all the goodies now. So here’s the sneak peek for the K family. Enjoy!

I loved these little interaction captures with Mom.  So many of us Momographers know that we get little time in front of the camera.

Make sure you check back on the blog in the next couple days. I’m under a mountain of photos (so to speak) from this weekend’s wedding. Were you outside this weekend? The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor wedding in the  country next to a stunning log cabin house.  *collective sigh among  wedding photographers*
